| A truck driver who is accused of causing the death of a police lance corporal was yesterday granted bail in the magistrates’ court.The accused, Picasso Van Lewin,Marlon Humphrey Jersey, made his appearance before acting Chief Magistrate Melissa Robertson -Ogle, who read the causing death by dangerous driving charge to him.It is alleged that on Tuesday July 29,Wholesale Authentic Jerseys, 2008 Van Lewin drove motor lorry GKK3495 and collided with lance corporal Michael Pratt, Jr., who was riding his Jialing motorcycle, licence plate # CE2517, at Regent and Light Streets, causing death to the policeman.The accused was represented by attorney-at-law Sase Gunraj, who entered a plea of not guilty to the charge against his client.In Van Lewin’s defense, Gunraj told the court that his client is a 37-year-old Seventh Day Adventist who lives with his mother in Garnett Street, Kitty,NFL Jerseys Cheap China, and is a transporter who is currently employed at the Amin’s Transportation Service in Meadow Bank, East Bank,Cheap Jerseys Free, Demerara, and also transports for the Omai Gold Mines,Throwback Jerseys, both in Georgetown and the interior, on a regular basis.Gunraj also told the court that Van Lewin has been driving for over 18 years and has never been involved in any previous traffic offences.Police prosecutor Sherwin Matthews did not object to bail being granted, and the accused was granted $400,000 bail.Gunraj,Andre Branch Dolphins Jersey, however, stated that his client would not be able to raise the bail.
