WALKING BACK TO HAPPINESS   Remember the singer Helen Shapiro? The woman's hit song W alking Returning to Happiness sold over a million copies in the early Sixties. ROBINS AND REINDEERS   Learn to make a 3D Yuletide robin or a reindeer at a hobby workshop in Bishop's Castle metropolis hall on Monday from 6pm. Clare Linford will show you how to use a technique named needle felting.

NEWCASTLE Backyard SOCIETY   Newcastle Garden Society's next getting together with is today at Newcastle Area Centre, at 7.30pm. That promises to be a fascinating night. Bugs, Beasts and Wild birds, Bringing a Garden to Life will be the subject of Jenny Steel's talk. Passionate about wildlife gardening, Jill has written 11 publications, is a gardener, adult training tutor, former nursery operator and photographer as well as doing appearances on many Television programmes, including BBC2's How Does The garden Grow. The AGM takes place passport and other fees to obtain required travel documents during 6.30pm before the talk.
Promises AUCTION   Rachel Lewis' promise auction to get funds for her trip to provide in Thailand is tomorrow. Come to Clun Memorial Hall for entertainment evening with food out there. Promises include hot air device ride, meals out, attractiveness vouchers, cakes and 1 / 2 a day's labour.
FAIRTRADE GROUP   Quiz the experts on Fairtrade. Steve Boyle of the Co operative will talk about their approach to Fairtrade and describe the process of bringing a fresh Fairtrade product onto the market. Regional honey producers will also discuss the importance of bees to the environment, down the road, 7.30pm in Hightown community place. Free admission, refreshments out there.
CHRISTMAS SHOPPING   Cheltenham is well known for excellent shops and is good place with regard to Christmas shopping. Join a mentor trip to Cheltenham from Aston on Clun December 28.
