The flyer also claims that Burnham was destabilized and undermined every step of the way ‘by sinister forces – both internal and external’.The flyer goes on boldly to claim that: ‘Forbes Burnham is the father of the nation. He was the only president with the courage to articulate a national vision that would have led Guyana down the path to true independence and prosperity – and everyone knows it, even those that are too cowardly to admit it.”OVP will not be contesting the presidential election – they are contesting the Regional elections and only in Region Four.
