The two suspects who were held on Friday, last, shortly after the robbery at the Lahago’s Supermarket at Montrose, East Coast Demerara,Cheap Huarache Shoes For Women, were yesterday remanded to prison after appearing before Magistrate Judy Latchman at the Sparendaam Court.The two alleged perpetrators were identified as Odinga Allen,Cheap Nike Air Max 97 Shoes For Women, 21, of Buxton, East Coast Demerara, and Kevin Niles, 20, of 572 East Ruimveldt Housing Scheme. The charges against the suspects were read separately.The first charge against Allen alleges that on April 29, at Montrose ECD,Adidas Nmd Shoes For Sale, while armed with a gun, he robbed Anupya Baburam of $80,Nike Air Max 2018 Mens Shoes,000, two cell phones worth $27,000 and $7,Nike Air Max 2018 Release,000 worth of phone cards.The charge against Kevin Niles is identical.Another charge against Allen alleges that on April 29, at La Bonne Intention,Air Max 97 Undefeated Black, he had in his possession one .38 revolver without being the holder of a firearm licence.It was further alleged that Allen on the same day had in his possession four .38 rounds of ammunition without being the holder of a firearm licence.Police Prosecutor Bernard Browne objected to bail being granted. According to the prosecutor, bail should not be granted because of the prevalence of the offence. He further stated that it is the prosecution’s belief that if bail is granted there is the likelihood that the two would continue to commit similar offences.Moreover, the prosecutor said that if bail is granted the two accused might interfere with witnesses. The prosecutor also disclosed to the court that some of the articles mentioned in the charge were found in their possession.Bail was denied and the two are expected to make their next court appearance on May 19.According to Anupya Baburam, daughter of the proprietor, she and another sales girl were about to go to lunch when two customers came in. One of them purchased a one-litre drink.She said that the other person came under the guise of being a customer.“The other guy that was short give another guy the drink who was waiting outside. He then turn back and pull out a gun and tell me give he all the money I have.”Ms Baburam explained that she had no money and the robber told her and the other sales girl to go around to the cashier booth and hand over the money.Allen was later cornered and captured by ranks of the Community Policing Group, citizens and police ranks. He was caught hiding in the bushes at the Montrose seawall.
