Two remand prisoners were further remanded by Magistrate Adela Nagamootoo when they appeared before her at the New Amsterdam Magistrate’s Court on a charge of wounding a fellow inmate.The men, Andrey Carrington,Wholesale China Jerseys, of Angoy’s Avenue,Cheap Jerseys Free Shipping, and Hubert Bayes,Wholesale Jerseys, of Corentyne,Cheap Barcelona Jersey, are both inmates of the New Amsterdam Prison on remand for serious crimes. They are accused of wounding fellow inmate, Valim Smartt, 26,Cheap Jerseys, of the Corentyne.Prosecutor,NFL Jerseys China, Inspector Satrohan Dayaram, told the court that on Thursday September 9, last, about 12:30 hrs Smartt was in a section of the remand prison when the two accused attacked him.He said that they told him that ‘they will have to spill his blood today’. The court heard that the men first placed a towel over Smartt’s head, before beating him with pieces of wood and stabbing him with home made knives called jukers.He sustained injuries to his mouth, face and head.Smartt was subsequently rescued and treated at the Prison infirmary before being taken for further treatment at the New Amsterdam Hospital.The matter was reported and the men were arrested and charged. In court they pleaded not guilty and will have to return to court on December 3.
