Merrick Watts is the first to confess the debut season regarding Tractor Monkeys didn't work as well as anticipated, not only for the team but in addition the viewers.
But the pop culture questions show, with its twist involving nostalgia, has been given an additional chance by the ABC, hoping it might recapture a larger audience.
''I'm really glad they've given it another run because I imagine it's almost a completely different show,'' Watts says. ''We became it right [this year]  More than anything at all, it just clicked. We started out filming the first couple of episodes and we went, 'Aah, now we know exactly what this show can be.' All the elements are there, it was just about making them healthy.''
Watts, the hugely effective radio host (famed to get one half of Merrick and Rosso and already on the Highway Patrol for Triple Meters), has the pivotal role for Tractor Monkeys as host. Dork O'Neil and Monty Dimond appear each week since team captains.

Serangoon Roads begins on Sunday from 8.30pm on ABC1.
